Our best kept secret is our great beginner and intermediate terrain, which together comprise 65% of the area. The wide variety of terrain and snow conditions provide skiing opportunities for every level of skier.
Snowbird receives an average of 500 inches of snow a year – enough to keep it regularly open over 200 days most ski seasons. They are the only ski resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon that offers world class snowboarding. The Snowbird Ski Area is located 1 mile west of Alta. We provide a complimentary shuttle to and from Snowbird daily.
Wasatch Powderbird Guides is one of the world's most renowned helicopter skiing and snowboarding operations. WPG is nestled between Alta and Snowbird ski resorts (less than an hour from Salt Lake City International Airport).
